As it stands, central Pa. fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers can miss several games a season due to NFL broadcasting rules.
Now, one state rep. is making an effort to change those rules.
As it currently stands, NFL rules about primary broadcast markets and network affiliates within a 90-mile radius of a given team’s stadium dictate that Harrisburg is stuck with the Ravens on CBS when Baltimore is either on the road or sold out at home. Kim’s resolution notes that Philadelphia Eagles fans living in northeast Pennsylvania deal with the same thing with the New York market.
