Estridge was one of Central Indiana’s most-well known homebuilders, a household name in Hamilton County especially.

In 2011, the company announced it needed a $6 million to $8 million line of credit to remain active. Shortly after, the Estridge Group stopped new home sales.
Despite flying airplanes recreationally, Estridge was afraid of heights and begged McGraw to let him down. Estridge Homes also built 16 Gateway, a project of townhomes at 16th and College in the Old Northside. “You always knew he was trying to build something special because of the pride that he felt in his community,” Willis said.
Estridge wasn't worried about bucking the party, either. He was among Republicans who took a public stand in 2016 when he feared where Donald Trump would lead the party and the country and he continued to speak on social media against the actions of the former president through 2022.
