A large law enforcement presence is responding to a possible active shooter incident in Roseville on Thursday afternoon.

Police were using armored vehicles to contact a shooter as of 1:15 p.m. near Mahany Park on Pleasant Grove Boulevard, according to dispatch traffic and as reported by the Sacramento Bee. According to FOX40, there were reports of an active shooter at the Roseville aquatic center. The outlet reported at 1:25 that a male suspect has been detained, but police are still searching for others.

Mahany Fitness Center, Roseville Aquatics Complex and Riley Library have all been placed on lockdown, according to Roseville Parks, Recreation and Events. All staff, visitors and children in camps are safe. Officials urged people to avoid the area and not to attempt to pick up their children until the situation is resolved.No other details are available.
