Fortnite is doing a massive crossover with one of the most beloved animes of all time:
There is also a Naruto Creative Hub you can visit based on the show, that is quite elaborate. I don’t think we’ve seen a crossover quite this large drop all at once since we had an entire Marvel-based season a while back. Most fans were expecting 1-2 Naruto skins at max, not four with different style variants and additional cosmetics. So this is above and beyond.
Now that Fortnite has opened the door to anime crossovers, the request are going to come pouring in. One Piece, Dragonball Z, Demon Slayer . It seems like Call of Duty is about to do an Attack on Titan crossover, so that may preclude that series from coming to Epic. I’m half surprised they didn’t do Cowboy Bebop, now that the Netflix show is here.
I expect this to be a huge crossover for them, given the amount of Naruto fans out there. This will no doubt re-run a few times, but pick your bundles up now if you want to be some of the first people with the skins. Fortnite continues to be a master of IP collection like no one else in the business. At this point it’s hard to be surprised anymore, but this is an especially big get that has been cool to see realized.
