Heritage Fest will be held on Sept. 4 at Paarlberg Farm in South Holland.
South Holland Historical Society presents Heritage Fest at Paarlberg Farm on Labor Day. The celebration of local history, includes tours of the house built in 1870 as well as the barn where attendees can see equipment that was used when the site was a working farm.

“The Widow Paarlberg had on her farm. The Native Americans would come and sharpen their axes on the grinding stone. Then when she was a little short of food in the wintertime they would drop off different meats at the house for her and her family.
