I know “wraps” like pashminas are a popular companion to black-tie attire, but to me that’s what makes them a less-than-ideal choice since they don’t offer enough contrast. That said, if you’re devoted to them I would suggest something that looks less like something your mom would remind you to bring with you “to cover your shoulders” and more like a cool sarong or an oversize scarf .
