This week, Moncler dropped 7 MONCLER FRGMT HIROSHI FUJIWARA 2021, a line of technical outerwear created as part of its newest collaboration with HiroshiFujiwara.
the designer finds harmony in style and function, riffing on timeless designs by adding his signature urban motifs to Moncler’s luxury silhouette.
Fujiwara’s taste for collage and collaboration is evident: a patchwork of references to various subcultures converge in the collection’s signature pieces, including a modernized tribute to the iconic Chuck 70, and a reimagined 441 Cyclone jacket made in partnership with British leather specialist Lewis Leathers.
The collection drop is accompanied by a film short conceptualized and set to music by Fujiwara himself. The film, directed by ODD JOB, is an animated ode to club culture— the popular Japanese entertainer, wrapped in pieces from the new collection, moves from the quiet dark of night into the bright light of a nightclub, where he is suddenly surrounded by animated figures.
