An assistant basketball coach at Holy Family Cristo Rey High School in Birmingham has been arrested on charges involving sex with a student.
Aaron Washington, 22, was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Wednesday afternoon and remains held without bond.
The investigation by Birmingham police began earlier this year. Charging documents against Washington state the incidents happened Dec. 23, 2022. “It is now public knowledge that Aaron D’Angelo Washington was arrested and charged on seven counts, including Sodomy First Degree, and is currently being held in Jefferson County Jail.
