Brown Convention center at the watch party for the University of Houston Cougars at the Avenida de las Americas Thursday Feb. 16,2023.Tens of thousands of Final Four fans have swarmed Houston’s hotels, taxing the entirety of the local hospitality sector, so the Final Four intends to show its gratitude by giving back to the workers it has relied upon to host the championship.
Houstonians working in the hospitality industry will be able to get half-price tickets to the Men's Final Four Fan Fest, held from noon to 6 p.m. Monday. Fan Fest, held at George R. Brown Convention Center, has interactive games, athlete and coach autograph sessions and opportunities to win prizes. The discounted tickets were already on sale Sunday, but the discount code was not expected to work until Monday, the same day as the event.There are about 150,000 people in the greater Houston area working in the hospitality industry, according to Houston First Corporation.
“Houston has an amazing, hardworking community of hospitality workers, many of whom will find themselves busier than usual during Men’s Final Four week. This deal is our way of giving back to the industry that helps make Houston shine,” said Carla Gomez, director of marketing and communications for the 2023 NCAA Men’s Final Four Houston Local Organizing Committee, according to a news release.and use code"GAMEON" to get half off their Fan Fest tickets.
For general admission, tickets cost $10 at the door and are available for purchase online. Kids under 12 can get in for free, as can Capital One cardholders and Men's Final Four ticket holders.
