Houston police search Kingwood wastewater plant where residents have complained about odor, fumes
it is responsible for providing water and wastewater services to 120,000 residents in Kingwood. It operates five wastewater treatment plants, 60 lift stations and 12 water treatment plants in the area."The City of Houston has and will continue to work with TCEQ to take necessary steps to minimize any impact to the residents of the Kingwood and to the environment," the city said in its news release."The City will continue to monitor the facility closely.
Public Works officials emphasized that the city's drinking water is unaffected and remains safe to drink.
