Leena Gade, three-time Le Mans-winning race engineer and race engineer for the No. 77 Mazda Team Joest, is not only a pioneer for women engineers in motorsports but is also an advocate for young girls in the sport.

We have support engineers who do a lot of that for us. It's about grabbing that information and then coordinating where you're going to head with that next.

“The build up to that the season had not started well,” Gade explains. “There were lots of things that went wrong. I was convinced I was going to be fired after Le Mans because I got things wrong.
