How (and why) to improve gender balance in STEM workplaces: InternationalWomensDay

We have identified three characteristics of our students’ experience that correlate with women’s persistence and success. All of these are transferable to the workplace. But commitment to success cannot stop at the point of hiring. Research shows that people are more likely to achieve if they and their supervisors set high expectations for them. Company leaders must act on the belief that achievement in STEM is a matter of hard work and not just innate talent.
