Jurassic Park presents a world where dinosaurs can be cloned, and though it might sound easy, it's actually a complex process with various steps.

Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The Jurassic Park franchise presents a world where dinosaurs are cloned and brought back to life to create a theme park where they are the main attraction, but how exactly does cloning dinosaurs work in the world of Jurassic Park? Back in 1993, Steven Spielberg brought dinosaurs to life in the sci-fi action movie Jurassic Park, based on the 1990 novel of the same name by Michael Crichton.

The protein code can give an idea of what the DNA code of the dinosaur looked like, so Dr. Hammond started a lab where they would extract the proteins from dinosaur fossil bones. The best-known way to get dinosaur DNA is through amber, as seen in the first Jurassic Park movie. As amber is able to perfectly preserve the tissue of plants and animals stuck in the resin, Dr. Hammond reasons that dinosaur blood could have ended up in amber through parasites. Because of this, Dr.

Hammond’s team used DNA from other creatures to fill in the gaps, and once this is done, a digital version of the dinosaur’s genome is created. The next step is for the scientists to synthesize the code, and once the genes are determined from DNA, it’s time to test if the sequences are functional. For this, a gene is inserted into a group of cells, and once they pass the rest, it’s time to add proteins.
