Two musicians who played with jazz great Charles Mingus are doing a three-day Arizona tour to celebrate the bassist's birth 100 years ago in Nogales.

Charles Mingus was born on an Army post in Nogales, Arizona, where his father was stationed as part of a The revered jazz bassist and composer was a toddler when his family settled in Los Angeles, where he was largely raised in the Watts neighborhood.
