The season snowfall total is now more than 500 inches, with more on the way.
Snow covers up nearly all of a cabin at Sugar Bowl Resort on March 1, 2023, during a near-record blizzard.in Lake Tahoe was well over 100% of its seasonal average. The snowfall was so intense that nearly every resort completely closed on Tuesday, with the remaining resorts limiting operations to a few lower-mountain lifts.
Another storm is anticipated to start Saturday evening, bringing with it the chance to break Tahoe's single-season snowfall records.
