Reynolds, the Vancouver-born movie star, has teamed up with bidders led by Chris Bratty, president of the Remington Group, in an effort to buy the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators. Next Monday is the deadline for binding offers for the team—meaning buyers have to put down a non-refundable deposit and set the terms of the purchase, subject to league approval. The Bratty-Reynolds bidders chose instead to ask for a 30-day window of exclusivity to buy the NHL team.
