Nick Hexum, singer/guitarist/keyboardist of 311, is well aware that many bands that have been around for more than 30 years, like his group, have made releasing albums of new material a rare occurrence – or essentially quit making new albums altogether.
Rock band 311 will perform during day one of the three-day BeachLife Festival in Redondo Beach on May 13 alongside Weezer, Black Pumas, Cold War Kids and more. The festival continues May 14-15 with performances by The Smashing Pumpkins, Vance Joy, Stone Temple Pilots, Steve Miller Band, Sheryl Crow, Lord Huron and others.
