"When she’s in bed with Mayhew, in the script for that scene they describe her scarring – and when you watch that episode, you can see it right there. Some people read that scene as something other than what it is, seeing it as her simply wanting to dominate a man, but it’s not that. Her whole mission throughout is to get to The Continental and if she has to use this chump along the way, she will.
How Was The Continental Received? As the first John Wick spinoff, there was a lot of pressure on The Continental to deliver. The show, after all, would serve as the first test regarding whether the franchise can work without Keanu Reeves and, crucially, director Chad Stahelski. After John Wick: Chapter 4 took the franchise to new heights earlier this year, the early reviews for The Continental didn't paint a promising picture for the spinoff.
