But the Sex Offender Unit of the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office is doing more than focusing on trick-or-treating. They will be increasing compliance checks with sexual offenders and predators in the county during the month of October as part of “Operation: Shield.” “This initiative is to ensure parents in our community they can enjoy all the festivities and events, knowing Sheriff Gordon Smith has their back,” the release said.
