CLEVELAND, Ohio — If you’ve ever wanted to see the Northern Lights, aka the Aurora Borealis, but haven’t had the chance to travel far enough north, you might be in luck in Northern Ohio on Monday night.at the University of Alaska, the lights might be dipping low enough that you’ll have a chance to see the amazing spectacle, weather permitting of course.
If you have a newer Android or iPhone , then you should have a decent enough phone to do so. Some of the older phones just won’t quite cut it. Of course, if you have a nice DSLR, then you should have no problem. Next, you’re going to need a tripod since you’ll be taking a long exposure -- anywhere from 5-30 seconds -- and you won’t be able to handhold a camera or smartphone that long without getting camera movement in your photos.on the camera app that comes on in dark situations. There is a menu item in the night mode accessible through a pull down menu where you can adjust the exposure time from about 2-10 seconds.and you can adjust a wide variety of settings there.
