“The Matthew Shepard Story: An American Hate Crime”” will premiere on ID channel Monday, October 9 at 9 p.m.Shepard, a gay college student, was tortured and left for dead in Wyoming when the shocking act captured the nation’s attention, beginning a debate about the danger many LGBTQ+ Americans face. The tribute to Shepard’s life will feature interviews with family and friends as well journalists and community members affected by the event.
