Unofficial results are in for Huntsville runoff election races. alpolitics

Wealth management and financial advisor David Little will replace Frances Akridge on the Huntsville City Council.

Both were winners in Tuesday’s runoff elections, with Little defeating former Huntsville Utilities Manager Bill Yell in the District 2 city council race to replace Akridge, and Alvarez defeating Angela McClure, owner of real estate closing business The McClure Group, in the District 3 school board race.

“It’s very humbling to know so many people came out today to vote who heard our message,” Little said. “We want to represent the entire district equally and also represent the city. I’ll make decisions on the council that might not affect District 2, it might affect District 3 or District 5. We’ve got to get out there and work together. I’m looking forward to that.”

They will take their seats on the council and school board on Nov. 7, as will District 2 school board member Holly McCarty, who won without a runoff.
