July can be a more active month than June for hurricanes, and there's even been a Category 5 once. Here's what's typical for the month ahead:

Of course, June of this year already delivered the first storms of the season that were located east of the Lesser Antilles, butThe Gulf of Mexico and the waters of the western Atlantic off the East Coast are also spots we watch for development in July.
