Fuel tanker fire causes highway collapse on I-95 in Philadelphia
At around 6:30 a.m., a fuel tanker truck caught fire underneath Interstate 95 on Cottman Avenue. All southbound lanes collapsed at the location of the fire. As a result, the entire highway between the Woodhaven and Aramingo exits was shut down.
"Today's going to be a long day. Obviously, with 95 northbound gone and southbound questionable, it's going to be even longer," Dominick Mireles of the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management said to a local outlet.A tanker truck caught fire underneath the I-95 overpass at Cottman avenue.
