16 of Epstein's alleged victims took the stand to recount what he did to them, and how it affected them over their lifetimes. He suggested Epstein's broken neck bones were more in line with a homicide, instead of hanging.
The judge presiding over the case scheduled the hearing citing intense public interest, and invited the alleged victims to make statements. The hearing itself is routine—once a defendant dies, they can’t be pursued for criminal charges. they would pursue alleged accomplices.
