There were 70-plus vehicles involved in a crash Saturday due to white out conditions, one driver said.

Photo: Jana BenscoterJason Rosnick was driving 581 east in Camp Hill near the I-83 split to spend the afternoon in Lancaster when sudden white out conditions obscured his visibility.
“I went to slow down,” Rosnick said. “My brakes locked up and I couldn’t stop. I tried to move over to the other lane. Got tapped from behind. And, lost control. Hit somebody in front of me. Swerved, hit the median and the barrier. For the next five minutes or so, I heard multiple slams until everything finally calmed down.”, but the crash wasn’t fatal, Pennsylvania State Police spokeswoman Megan Ammerman said. None of the injuries were life-threatening.
“Eventually, my battery did die,” Rosnick said. His car was at the front of the chain reaction. He said he is unsure of the condition of his car, whether it’s totaled or not.
