A Detroit woman says she was as surprised as the renters who have showed up at her home, expecting to be staying at an Airbnb. She says scammers posted her home online and even told people where to allegedly find a key to get inside.
Imagine having a bunch of random people showing up at your home, believing they've paid to stay at your place. They're even looking for a key that's supposed to be hidden under the mat. That's exactly what's happening to one Detroit woman.
"I am just as shocked as they are when they pull up," she said. "They think they're coming in to get ready they have bags they have a suitcase in their car and I’m like oh." " hi sir. How can I help you? I’m looking for a key. You’re looking for a key? Sir, what’s going on. He said you rent this house. I said that’s impossible I own this house," Milton said.Milton felt terrible. The family had their kids in the car with them and nowhere to go.
