Idris Elba took to Twitter to announce that he tested positive for the coronavirus
“This morning I got some test results back for coronavirus and it came back positive — and it sucks,” he said in the clip, his wife Sabrina Dhowre behind him. Elba notes that he doesn’t have any symptoms of, but got tested after he was exposed to someone who had the virus. Elba quarantined himself last Friday; Dhowre has not yet been tested.
“This is serious,” he continued. “Now is the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that, the people out there who aren’t showing symptoms can easily spread it.” This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing 👊🏾👊🏾 No panic.
