Throughout South Central Texas, some rivers were flooding, including the Guadalupe River near Cuero, the San Antonio River near Runge and Sandies Creek near Westhoff.

A sign reading “Watch for water on road” flashes as water flows over Pinn Road near TX 151 in San Antonio on Saturday. Following heavy rainfall early Saturday, additional periods of showers and storms are expected from Saturday afternoon through Monday. This poses the threat of flooding for ow-water crossings and low-lying areas.

Meteorologist Eric Platt, with the National Weather Service, said it all depends on whether the area heats up enough to develop the showers and thunderstorms.WEATHER UPDATES The city of New Braunfels, which saw about 2 inches of rain, announced Sunday morning that access to the Comal River is open for recreation. Crews there cleaned up minor debris, but people are warned to be cautious of waste that may not be visible under the water's surface.

For Monday, rain chances increase to 50 percent around San Antonio, depending on how much afternoon heating helps spur the precipitation.
