The El Cerrito Lions Club is sponsoring its 31st annual placing of flags on veterans’ graves Nov. 11 on Veterans Day in Sunset View Cemetery at 101 Colusa Ave. in El Cerrito.The event will begin, rain or shine, at 8:30 a.m. with a brief ceremony honoring our veterans. Light refreshments will be served, and the club will furnish flags and cemetery maps. Veterans, community members and Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts have participated in past events and are encouraged to attend.

If you enjoy walking, breathing in fresh air and serving your community, the USPS is a great employer, with job security, career advancement opportunities and benefits. The USPS has an immediate need for the following positions to be filled:The USPS will hold a job fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 in the Hilltop Post Office at 4180 Lakeside Drive in San Pablo to hire for jobs in Richmond and the surrounding area.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, you can also learn about credits, rebates, grants, and loans that help lower the cost of buying an electric car or e-bike. Meet people who already own them and ask them about their experiences. The sixth annual Ride Electric Event at the Harvest Festival will be on the park’s basketball courts at 20 Virginia Gardens, near the park. Cedar Rose Park is at 1300 Rose St. in North Berkeley.
