Some Indiana lawmakers are seeking to clamp down on tracking devices being used to follow someone without their knowledge, a problem that’s come under scrutiny since the technology rolled out.
Sens. Michael Young, R-Indianapolis, and Liz Brown, R-Fort Wayne, authored the two other bills related to tracking devices. All three bills introduced in Indiana’s Senate would heighten the punishment – from a Class C to a Class A misdemeanor − for a person alleged to be unlawfully tracking someone if the accused has a protective order against them.
