An art piece on the Mojave Moon Ranch has become a popular cultural landmark, but influencers are trespassing to get the 'gram.
Brown is taking a similar approach. Mojave Moon Ranch reserves close viewing to guests of the ranch. Trespassing, including by drone, is illegal entry, and the fee to shoot up close is $20,000. Brown says she hasn’t filed any cases yet, but there are ongoing investigations."There are posted signs of saying, 'Please don't trespass and take photographs here.' It's art. It's not a jungle gym," she said.
Brown is grateful for the people that are willing to see"Transmission" for what it is — a piece of art. "Some people are very respectful and I'm truly thankful. I've seen a lot of posts of people actually defending the statue and defending my property saying, 'Listen, there's a carve-out there, you can take photos,'" she said."I really appreciate that support."
