Amber Wilson, 18, was shot and killed in Linden on July 9, 2012.
Amber Duncan-Wilson, investigators were still searching for her killer and continue to ask the public for help in finding them.
Wilson, who had graduate from Linden High School days earlier, was walking along Hussa Street in the city with a friend on July 9, 2012, after a trip to Dunkin’ when she was approached by at least one person who robbed her, according to a joint statement from the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and the Linden Police Department. Words were exchanged and at least one gunshot echoed through the quiet residential neighborhood.from a gunshot wound to the head.
“Ms. Wilson was a young, ambitious woman, who had a meaningful life ahead of her,” Union County Prosecutor William Daniel said in a statement released Friday. “Sadly, that life was senselessly lost at such a young age and we remain as firmly committed today as we did ten years ago in finding this cold-blooded killer and to bringing justice for her and her loved ones.”
Investigators continued to seek leads and have again asked for the public’s help in obtaining any information that could assist in solving the case.
