Iranian, Ukrainian unite in Houston to remember painful anniversary of deadly plan crash, call for regime change
Houston protesters called for a regime change in Iran after almost 45 years under the Islamic Republic of Iran. People also protested the execution of Iranian dissidents and spoke of the need for human rights.
Iranian-American and U.S. Army veteran Amir Kezemi told On Scene reporters he was compelled to be at the protest as a voice for people who cannot speak up themselves.“It's my civic duty to do this,” he said. “We’re fighting for our basic human rights,” Ziraksari said. “The Islamic Republic of Iran is not a true representation of who Iranians are.”
