hinted new music was on the way when he dropped his head-bopping, deep-bass “Blanco” in the fall. After kicking off 2020 with the reggaeton song “Morado” and then releasing “Rojo” , fans began to speculate that a new album was on the way.
On March 19, in the middle of the global coronavirus pandemic, Balvin dropped his fifth solo studio album, bringing lots of joy and reggaeton to his fans. “Amarillo” was the lead single to launch with the set. Up to now, five out of eight songs from the album have come with a music video, including “Gris” , which shows Balvin surrounded by snakes, scorpions, crows, frogs, fire, an elephant and at one point, he’s even drowning.
