University of Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter — who was arrested on reckless driving charges stemming from the car crash that— was back at the NFL Scouting Combine Thursday in Indianapolis after turning himself in, according to several reports. Carter returned to Athens, Ga.
Carter was scheduled to speak to reporters on Wednesday morning in Indianapolis, before news of the charges came out.Before the charges, Carter – who starred on Georgia’s back-to-back national championship-winning teams in 2021 and 2022 – was considered by some to be the best overall prospect in the draft, and a possible No. 1 overall pick.It remains to be seen how far he will fall down draft boards, though, with the draft less than two months away.
