She went on to say that she gets “riled up” by the differing beauty standards for women and men, and said she regularly receives personal letters from young people who “feel suicidal or anxious or depressed” because they feel societal pressure to achieve “perfection”.
“I’m speaking from a place of love and passion and concern that you will make the same mistakes I’ve made,” Jameela went on. “I’ve spent 20 years of my life having an eating disorder and using the lasers and using the creams, and drinking the detox tea.
