The withdrawal follows the release of the 845-page report from the committee, in which Mastriano and other Pennsylvania lawmakers are mentioned.
The January 6th Committee has withdrawn a subpoena for Pa. Sen. Doug Mastriano as it works to wrap up its work, according to reports.
In it, Thompson wrote “In light of the imminent end of our investigation, the Select Committee can no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena. Therefore, through this letter, I hereby formally withdraw the subpoena issued to Mr. Mastriano and notify you that he is no longer obligated to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena.”in which Mastriano and other Pennsylvania lawmakers are mentioned.
They also wanted to ask him about financing for buses that brought people to Washington D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021, his presence at a Trump rally and at the U.S. Capitol that day, and communications he had with White House members including a phone call to then Vice President Mike Pence.
