BREAKING: Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have reportedly been subpoenaed by special counsel Jack Smith as part of his investigation into former President Trump's alleged role in the Capitol riot on Jan. 6.

Kushner and Ivanka Trump served as advisers to Donald Trump during his presidency and are the latest Trump administration officials to be subpoenaed by Smith, per the New York Times.

Smith, who was appointed by the Justice Department to oversee investigations into Trump in November 2022, has also subpoenaed former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and former Vice President Mike Pence. Pence is fighting the subpoena, citing the separation of powers between different branches of government.
