Murdoch may have an even closer relationship to Kushner than to Donald Trump.
President Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner reportedly talks to Fox News founder and chairman Rupert Murdoch “every day” to assure him that the White House is running smoothly and to ask for advice.
Kushner has “worked hard to win over Murdoch,” the story states based on “well-informed sources,” and Kushner shows Murdoch respect and asks him for advice. The president’s son-in-law, who has become more valued as a senior White House adviser, apparently assures Murdoch frequently that White House operations are going smoothly, countering a plethora of reports that characterize it as embroiled in chaos.
Murdoch, perhaps the world’s most influential media mogul, also has telephone conversations with Trump often, numerous sources told The New Yorker. Jared Kushner, adviser and son-in-law of President Donald Trump, speaks on his cellphone before a meeting between Trump and the British Prime Minister on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, eastern Switzerland, on January 25, 2018.
