Jared Leto dresses as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette to Met Gala
Leto is set to star in a biopic of the late Chanel designer.Robertsson, who wore a silver Iris Van Herpen jumpsuit with silver structured wings, was mistaken as a mysterious Leto before the “Fight Club” actor arrived with Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, twinning in matching gold suits with red bowties.
On brand with Leto’s desire to bring shock value, Leto appeared on the carpet in 2019 accompanied by a severed head — that looked just like his own.Lagerfeld’s famous cat was rumored to be making a Met Gala appearance but has decided to stay behind.in which the glossy asked where his creepy replica was, Leto said, “Honestly, I have no idea. I think someone may have stolen it. If anyone out there finds it, bring it in to your nearest Gucci store in exchange for a pair of dirty sneakers.
Continuing, he said, “When we came together with the Karl Lagerfeld team, we immediately shared a creative vision of doing a respectful ode to Karl while pushing the artistic boundaries of what a biopic can be. I’m so grateful to Karo, Pier and Seb for allowing us to go on this journey together.”
