We chat with DeadRingers stars Jennifer Ehle and Emily Meade about taking on the cult classic David Cronenberg movie in their new PrimeVideo series, one particularly wild sequence, and how they'd handle an identical twin:
Prime Video's newest limited series, Dead Ringers, is based on David Cronenberg's 1988 film of the same name about twin gynecologists who push the boundaries of ethics in their personal and professional lives. To update it over three decades later, Rachel Weisz takes over the dual role of Elliot and Beverly Mantle from Jeremy Irons. The Mantle twins are now fertility doctors, and they are looking for funding for a cutting-edge clinic.

So I feel like twins [were] really exciting in the 90s. I mean, the first thing we do is be born. I remember me and my friend when we were kids, we were not twins, nor were we related. And we didn't actually look alike. But we would like to tell people we were twins.
Emily Meade: Yeah. I imagined there'd be some competition, too. That's something I've always thought about. Maybe I'm just a really competitive person. But I feel like I'd be like, think about it... If you like a guy, you're right to be like, are they going to like my twin more? That's the first place my mind goes. Maybe says more about me... Jennifer Ehle: I saw it when I was 18, when it first came out and I haven't seen it since. I loved it.
