Several weeks after a serious snowplow incident put him into intensive care, Jeremy Renner confirms in a new social media post that he's back home again. Renner is best known for playing Clint Barton/ Hawkeye in the MCU, appearing in the likes of Avengers: Endgame and, more recently, the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY As the actor's long road to recovery continues following his surgery for blunt chest trauma and other serious injuries, Renner has now confirmed via Twitter that he's out of the hospital and back at home. The actor's post is in response to the official Mayor of Kingstown Twitter account, which tweeted recently in celebration of the show's premiere episode airing on Paramount+. Affirming that he's still in recovery, Renner shares that he watched the premiere of Mayor of Kingstown at home with his family.
It didn't take long for actors and influential figures in Hollywood to wish the actor a speedy recovery, with many of Renner's MCU colleagues sharing heartfelt well-wishes. Renner underwent surgery for his injuries and seemed to be in good spirits in the days following the accident, even taking to social media to share updates with his many fans.
It's unclear what the next steps are for Renner and whether he will need additional surgeries in the weeks ahead, but his road to recovery is expected to be a long one. The actor will likely be spending a great deal of time at home with his family as he recovers, and it certainly doesn't sound like he'll be wielding Hawkeye's bow again anytime soon.
