New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn't ruling out a return this season. But there's one major condition.
this week, hoping to offer some encouragement and inspiration less than a month after tearing his Achilles on the fourth play of the season.
The 39-year-old said he has been rehabbing at the Jets’ facility this week and the plan is for him to return to California at some point in the coming days before rejoining the team when they return from the bye week. The Jets’ off week is two weeks from Sunday. Of course, if the Jets are in the playoff mix it would mean that Rodgers’ replacement Zach Wilson is playing well. And Rodgers would be coming off a highly accelerated return from an Achilles injury and perhaps at less than 100 percent. Of course, Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, but for him to pencil himself back into the lineup ahead of a quarterback who just led the Jets to the playoffs or to the verge of playoff contention is interesting.
