After an emotional Week 1, the Jets must now regroup and face the Cowboys on the road.
The Jets are coming off an emotional roller coaster of a game Monday night, when they beat the Bills in dramatic fashion, but lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to an Achilles injury. The last time we saw Dallas they were embarrassing New York’s other team and rudely treating right tackle Evan Neal like a human turnstile.
The Cowboys’ dominated the Giants in every phase of that game, but the Jets could provide a tougher test. As good as Dallas’ defense looked in the opener, the Jets are pretty good on defense in their own right. The Cowboys were -3 heading into Monday, but after Rodgers’ injury the line moved six points.Yes, Gang Green are replacing Rodgers with Zach Wilson, but I make the Cowboys -7 in this matchup, so there is some value with the underdog. It’s not easy to win by double-digits in those types of games.
The Jets’ defense is still good enough to keep them in most games if Wilson doesn’t turn the ball over.
