President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden will travel to Florida today to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Idalia.
According to the White House, they will be traveling to Live Oak, Florida, a community heavily affected by the storm. Biden will meet with residents impacted by the storm and is expected to give remarks.After Florida, the Biden’s are expected to depart to their house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where they will stay for the remainder of Labor Day weekend, according to the White House.
They are adding this $4 billion to an emergency supplemental funding request which includes $12 billion in relief funding for the Hawaii wildfire.
