John Wick: Chapter 4's Rina Sawayama took some convincing to take on the role of Akira, the Osaka concierge, because she had never acted before.
John Wick: Chapter 4 director Chad Stahelski revealed that Akira actor Rina Sawayama took some convincing to join the latest sequel in the John Wick franchise. Sawayama's Akira is the Osaka Continental's concierge, fighting alongside Wick throughout the film. Her role in the movie is compounded by the fact that she is the daughter of Shimazu Koji, the manager of the Osaka Continental and an old friend of John's.
