Django Unchained is full of great actors and regular Quentin Tarantino collaborators, and Jonah Hill has a small role that was originally going to be much bigger. The 2012 movie follows Django Freeman , a formerly enslaved man, who works with Dr. King Schultz to collect bounties and learns to become one of the best bounty hunters of the 1800s.

Hill's Role Was Originally Much Bigger Hill's goofy grin and minimal one-liners, while still funny, raise several questions about why he has a cameo and such few lines of dialogue. If a filmmaker has an actor as talented and ad-lib-rich as Hill on set, they'd surely want to take advantage of that while they can.
Tarantino Changed The Shooting Schedule To Fit Hill In But even the cameo almost didn't happen. Though Hill didn't disclose which movie conflicted with the shooting schedule for Django Unchained, he had a huge 2012. Hill starred in two high-concept comedies, 21 Jump Street and The Watch, both of which would have required his full attention.
