"He needed two hot guys for the leads," Josh said of Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood." And apparently before settling on the two leads who are now getting all the attention, it was going to be the Josh and James show! Honestly, that would have been better, right?
Unfortunately, as we saw in some deleted scenes from the film, the pair proved incredibly inept at doing the simplest things like lighting a cigarette. And then, Tarantino somehow didn't appreciate their incredibly clever and resourceful solution to the problem."Quentin is famously strict about historical accuracy in all his films," James added, and that was it for their Tarantino dreams.Luckily, there was another surefire box office bonanza just waiting for the pair of them.
As badly as things went with a cigarette, there was no way Josh and James were going to be able to manage the types of sports cars the "Fast & Furious" franchise has become famous for. But the thing that did it for them on this production was apparently their insistence on wearing seatbelts. "Forget the seatbelts?" James shouted after struggling with his for way too many minutes. "What kind of message is that sending?"
Luckily, redemption was just a phone call -- or an email -- away as they got an incredible opportunity to take on the star roles of "Toy Story 4." Well, kind of. Check out the video to see what the big flipping deal was.
