Authorities from the U.S. Virgin Islands accused JPMorgan Chase executives of knowing about Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of young women and underage girls.

New York federal court filing, Virgin Islands authorities accuse the bank of benefitting from “Epstein’s Sex-Trafficking Venture” and obstructing the enforcement of the “Trafficking Victims Protection Act.”

The filing points to an email exchange between the bank’s former CFO David Brigstocke and another senior executive Mary Erdoes—now the CEO of the bank’s asset and wealth management arm—where Brigstocke compares a client’s house to Epstein’s, saying: “Except it was more tasteful, and fewer nymphettes.”

The government’s lawyers also detail more than $3.1 million in payments allegedly handled by JPMorgan which were made from Esptein’s bank account to dozens of women and girls “including many…with Eastern European names.”made by JPMorgan Chase, the bank accuses the Virgin Islands government of using its “sovereign powers to enable Epstein’s sex crimes.”

The bank’s filing alleges that the territory’s government “actively looking the other way whenever he arrived at USVI airports accompanied by young women and girls.”
